We are thrilled and honored that you are taking the time to learn more about us. We are Jerry and Kristie. We can’t imagine the difficult choices you are now facing to a find a loving and safe home for your child. We admire your strength and courage as you begin this process. Since we are unable to have children, we feel that adoption is the very special way that our lifetime dream can come true.

 

Our Love
We met 15 years ago, each other’s first true love. We have been happily married for almost 12 years and look forward to spending the rest of our lives together as the best of friends, life partners and with hopefulness, parents. It is amazing how much we have changed over the years as individual’s and after 7 years of infertility our love for each other continues to grow stronger. We truly enjoy each other’s company. We share in making decisions, doing household chores and working in the yard. We encourage each other to try new things and to continue to grow as individuals. We have dreamed of having a family for as long as we can remember. Little did we know that having a family would be a true test of our love and faith. Having a child to love, support, teach and nurture will make our family complete.

 

What Kristie says about Jerry. . .
“Jerry is a loving, caring and gentle man. He is one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. He is kind-hearted and has never met a stranger. Jerry enjoys being outdoors, working in the yard and around the house. He loves to tell jokes and make people laugh. We have tons of fun together just hanging out around the house, wrestling around, jumping on the trampoline and just laying around talking and watching movies together. He will be a wonderful father and role model for any child. He's the neatest person I know!"

What Jerry says about Kristie. . .
"Kristie is the love of my life. She is a kind, loving, affectionate person. She is very compassionate and has an awesome love for animals. I love the look in her eyes when she is playing with our nieces, nephews and friends children. Kristie is creative, honest, open-minded and loves to learn new things. Kristie has brought many great things into our relationship and has taught me to grow and try new things. I know she will make a wonderful mother and pass many great gifts onto our child.

 

Our Values on Parenthood:
Becoming parents will truly be a gift from God. We will provide a loving environment, religious foundation and a place where a child is encouraged to fulfill all their dreams. We anxiously await the sleepless nights together for nightly feedings and dream of rocking and cuddling our child to sleep, reading bed-time stories, singing songs, playing in the sandbox and kissing boo-boo’s ! Our child will always know how special and loved they are.

Thank you reading our story! We chose open adoption because we feel it is important for our child to know about his /her birthparents and to know how much love and commitment was put into making this decision. We are truly blessed with overwhelming support from all our family, friends and co-workers. We promise to provide a lifetime of unconditional love, happiness, emotional and financial security to any child we are blessed with. Our Home:

We have ten acres and an adorable Victorian style house located in a rural city just south of Atlanta, Georgia called Hampton. We feel we have the best of all worlds because we live close enough to the city that we can go out for a night on the town for dancing and dinner, just two hours north we can be in the mountains for snow skiing or camping and 3 hours south we can head to the beach for fun in the sun! The school is close and during the holiday seasons our little town is filled with wonderful decorations created by the local school children We have the perfect place for children to grow and explore all the wonders of the world and will be surrounded by our gentle and loving animals. We look forward to building the tree-fort or playing ball, having tea-parties, and hearing the sounds of little feet scurrying across the floor on Christmas Morning. We can't wait for our child to climb in to bed early Saturday morning to watch their favorite cartoons.

 

Our Family:

We were both raised in very loving and stable homes and have a very strong belief that family comes first. Since our families live so close (all in Georgia) we see them all the time. Jerry has a brother and two sisters and Kristie has one brother, our nieces and nephews (all 13 of them) love to come over and hang out. There is so much to do, from jumping on the trampoline, swimming, swinging, riding their bikes or for a ride with Uncle Jerry on his dirt bike (their favorite). We have so much fun hanging out with them, their personalities are all so different, it is amazing watching them grow along with the anticipation of what one of them will say next. They are so excited that they will finally have a new cousin to play with (they have been begging us for years!) Both sets of Grandparents, Great Grandparents, our family and friends are overjoyed and anxiously wait to greet our new baby with open arms and loving hearts.

 

Our Careers:

Jerry is a Project Superintendent for a Commercial Construction Co. and oversees Project Development on new schools. Kristie works for an Internet company as an E-Commerce Developer. Both our companies are very supportive of our decision to adopt and know how important our family is to us. When our new baby arrives we both plan to take aleave of absence from work, then Kristie will work from home thereafter. We plan on playing an equal role in the care and raising of our child.
